What is Botox / Xeomin?

Botox is a cosmetic procedure that utilizes botulinum toxin to temporarily immobilize or loosen muscles, aiming to diminish the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines. It is typically administered to specific facial regions like the forehead, around the eyes, and between the eyebrows, resulting in wrinkle reduction and a more youthful appearance. 

Xeomin and Botox are both neurotoxin injections used to diminish wrinkles and lines on the face. However, the main difference lies in their formulation. Xeomin contains only the purified form of botulinum toxin type A, without any additives, while Botox includes additional proteins. This can make Xeomin a suitable option for individuals who have developed resistance to other neurotoxin injections or have experienced undesirable side effects. Additionally, Xeomin may have a slightly faster onset of action compared to Botox.
